Each fall—in voluntary compliance with the Campus Security Act of 1990, the Clery Act—the Beloit College security department publishes a crime awareness, safety/security guide and fire safety report.
“I encourage you to read this report, which is part of our goal to promote a safe environment, in which personal security and safety is taken seriously by all members of the college community,” says Bruce Heine, assistant director of security.
This annual report includes:
- General safety/security information
- The fire safety report
- Emergency response and evacuation procedures
- City parking ordinances
- City noise ordinances
- Security policies and procedures
- The missing resident policy
- Drug and alcohol information
- Sexual assault prevention
- Crime statistics
- Emergency phone numbers
- Campus maps and emergency phone locations
To help contain the costs of printing, the complete annual report has been posted on the Beloit College security department web page, located at: http://www.beloit.edu/security/. The fire safety report, which includes fire statistics for each resident hall for the last three years, is also available on that page.
If you prefer this information in booklet form, copies are available in the Campus Security Office (lower level of Pearsons Hall).
