September 7, 2011

CKName: Caitlin Karvonen’12
Hometown/residence: Livonia, Mich.
Major: Japanese
You may have seen me: In the library, daydreaming about zombie outbreaks
What are a few of your favorite things? Spicy food, cool-looking paper weights, sweet potatoes, train rides, heavy blankets
Favorite meal? My mom makes a really good brisket. She knows I love it, so she usually makes it for dinner the night before I return to Beloit. :)
Who are your top-three fantasy dinner party guests? Teddy Roosevelt, Craig Ferguson and my great nana
What’s your favorite hidden gem here in the area? I'm pretty fond of Homecare Pharmacy. The shelves are a little bare, but they sell a lot of hard-to-find candy!
What’s the number one thing on your bucket list? Learn Korean
What are you most looking forward to? I recently decided to present about my study abroad in Japan on International Symposium Day. I’m still combing through my ideas, but I think it will be a very interesting discussion.
