Beloiters present at ACM symposium

May 4, 2011

Beloiters Kelly Allen’11 and Andrew Yarbrough’11 gave symposiums on their travels in Uganda and Moscow, respectively, at a recent off-campus-study symposium hosted by the Associated Colleges of the Midwest. They were two of 26 students representing the consortium’s 13 colleges.

Allen presented on the topic of albinism in East Africa, a topic she studied while living in Uganda in 2010 (a topic she covered in the fall edition of Beloit College Magazine); Yarbrough talked about Moscow’s Victory Park, and whether or not it lived up to its role as a monument.

Video of the Beloiters’ presentations is available at the ACM website.
