Last Friday, Beloiters gathered in Chapin quad to share a little affection. The entire campus had been invited.
“The inspiration for the all-campus hug comes from my love of non-verbal communication,” says Mira Treatment, a program assistant with the Spiritual Life program. “I think that too often we forget that we can have meaningful interactions with one another without speaking, but by projecting through body language, facial expression, and especially touch.”
The hug is one of a series of events meant to bring a little color to campus; another was handing out flowers during the lunch hour.
