Beloit College is nearing completion of a search for an assistant director of alumni and parent relations, but a second position with the same title will also be filled soon. Reporting directly to the senior director of alumni and parent relations, this assistant director develops and implements programming for alumni and parents on- and off-campus, including supporting the Parents Fund Committee and creating other parent programming. Working closely with departments on campus, this person will identify volunteer opportunities for parents and alumni. The assistant director will place particular emphasis on supporting the Liberal Arts in Practice Center with volunteers who are interested in field days, internships, externships, mock interviews, and other initiatives.
In addition, the assistant director will develop and implement programs for Beloit Regional Alumni Gatherings (BRAGs), working with parent and alumni volunteers who are interested in donating their time to support these initiatives. The position requires close collaboration with other External Affairs staff to help ensure effective marketing and communications regarding the importance of volunteerism, engagement, and personal philanthropy in alumni and parent relations.
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum 2-3 years of professional experience. A successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to track and prioritize multiple projects, and an appreciation for liberal arts education. Travel, evening, and weekend work required.
