Job Postings: Three sabbatical replacements for English department

Visiting Assistant Professor: Creative Writing, Poetry specialist (sabbatical replacement)
The Department of English at Beloit College invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement for 2011-12. Creative writers, with expertise in the teaching of poetry writing, are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will teach six courses during the academic year, including introductory creative writing and intermediate poetry writing, and, depending on strengths, other topics in creative writing, introductory expository writing, or introductory and survey courses in literature. MFA or Ph.D. required. Beloit is a selective undergraduate liberal arts college located in southern Wisconsin, near Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Visiting Assistant Professor: American Literature (sabbatical replacement)
The Department of English at Beloit College invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement in American Literature for 2011-12. The successful candidate will teach five courses during the academic year, including introductory and survey courses and, depending on strengths, introductory expository writing or creative writing. Expertise teaching ethnic, Anglophone, or Native American literature is also a plus. Ph.D. preferred, advanced ABD considered. Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor: Creative Writing/Expository Writing
The Department of English at Beloit College invites applications for a one-year visiting position for 2011-12, with the possibility of a renewed second year contract. Creative writers, with experience teaching composition and various literary genres (especially drama or screenwriting) are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will teach four courses during the academic year, including introductory expository writing and introductory creative writing and, depending on strengths, courses in playwriting, screenwriting, literature, and/or new media studies.
