Who’s afraid of a little snow? We were! But with good reason—due to the combination of snow, sleet, slippery sidewalks, and a citywide snow emergency, it was decided the safest bet would be to reschedule Monday’s Martin Luther King Convocation.
The convocation, featuring Debra Majeed, associate professor and chair of philosophy and religious studies at Beloit College, has been re-scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday (Jan. 21) in Eaton Chapel. Majeed will deliver a speech titled “Imagine Better: A 21st-Century Response to the ‘Dream’ of King” at 4 p.m. in the college’s Eaton Chapel. This is a community event and the general public is invited to attend.
