Revamped LAPC site among latest developments on

December 22, 2010

In recent months, the Web Services team has been hard at work expanding and enriching the website. From building new photo slideshows, designing and loading new marketing content, updating the Office of International Education site, and even refreshing the content management software (the appropriately named "Reason"), Melissa Dix and Matt Rose have been staying busy. Just in time for the holidays, the two recently completed additional work that includes a revamped Liberal Arts in Practice Center site.

Among other things, the new LAPC site helps better define the three legs that make up the center: Community Based Learning, the Career Center, and the Campus and Community Outreach Center. See also the listing of funding opportunities, which is sure to be a hit.

In the spring,'s web crew (which includes a trio of talented student developers– Kyle Kurtenbach, Nick Mischler and Troy Nelson) will be continuing work on a new online booking system (titled "Book It") and rolling out a “Visit" page that features maps of running and biking routes around town, dining and diversions for visitors, and a new Google-based campus map.
