City snow emergency + plowing = no street parking

December 12, 2010

The city's public works department declared a snow emergency over the weekend, remaining in
effect until 12:00 a.m. Monday. So what does this mean for you? During this time all vehicles are prohibited from parking on city streets until the storm has passed and the snow has been cleared from the city streets.

The city has provided a map of parking lots open to the public free of charge during snow emergencies.

If the owner, or operator, of any vehicle does not attend to its removal, the Beloit Police Department may ticket and/or move such vehicle at the owner's expense to some other suitable location so as not to interfere with snow removal and plowing.
