Beloit’s third candidate for the tenure-track position in biology will present a research talk today at 12:30 p.m. in Science Center 349 entitled “Dealing with a Dynamic Environment.”
Sara O’Brien is currently assistant professor of biology at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. O’Brien studies the physiological mechanisms that allow organisms to survive in a dynamic environment. She has experience teaching human anatomy and physiology, vertebrate zoology, neuroscience, endocrinology, and reproductive physiology. She earned a B.S. in animal science in1999 and M.S. in integrative biology in 2002 from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in zoology from the University of Washington in 2009.
