You might have noticed the save-the-date in your inbox a few weeks ago.
"Friends," it read, "I am inviting you to join me for a conversation about the academic year to date and the promise of the year ahead. We have much to celebrate and (in the spirit of balance) lessons we have learned that are worthy of discussion and greater understanding."
That invitation was issued by President Scott Bierman himself, and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Moore Lounge, you'll have a chance to take him up on it. Students are also invited to this conversation.
"I promise to limit my opening remarks to less than ten minutes leaving most of our time together for questions and comments that relate to my work, the state of the college, or goals guiding our efforts," Bierman says.
"I know you all are busy. And I realize the weather is better suited to lunchtime walks (or runs) than meetings, but coming together as a community for a collective conversation at least once a semester is important."
So--feel free to bring your lunch, and Scott will see you there.
