Alumnus on the future of Afghanistan

Paul Fishstein’76, a Beloit College alumnus and fellow with Harvard’s Carr Center for Human Rights, will present a lecture on Afghanistan on tonight (Friday) at 7:30 p.m. in Eaton Chapel.

Prior to his current position in Harvard’s State Building and Human Rights in Afghanistan and Pakistan program, Fishstein served as the director of the Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit (AREU), a Kabul-based policy research institution.

Fishstein has also worked in Kabul and at provincial levels on USAID-funded initiatives to strengthen health care delivery, as well as working with refugee assistance and “cross-border” reconstruction activities in Quetta and Islamabad, Pakistan.
