This is an update about the construction on campus.
After a few delays, including five days related to weather, the College Street road construction project has once again picked up steam. Parking areas on College and Emerson Streets will be paved by this Friday, giving new students, staff, and faculty convenient access to campus.
The library facelift, sidewalks, and circle will not be completed for another three weeks or so. The library remains open during construction through a temporary entrance on the north side of the building, located between the library and the day care center. Crushed gravel foot paths will allow access on all sides of the construction.
Everyone should remember to stay out of fenced in or caution-taped areas and be mindful of the contractors and their equipment. Depending on what the contractors are doing, they may not be able to see you, and this could create a hazardous situation. Please keep alert when you are in close proximity to the construction areas.
