ADVISING PRACTICUM FALL 2014
Date: Wednesday, October 29th, 2014
Sponsored by: Registrar's Office
The Advising Practicum is a full-day series of workshops and sessions that, during your first three semesters, begins with the Initiatives advising workshop. It’s meant to help you get the most out of your education by reflecting on your educational experiences and interests and developing a self-directed and personally rewarding course of study—all with the guidance and expertise of your advisors, professors, our in-house professional resources, alumni, and your peers.
Below you’ll find a basic schedule for the day; in addition here are PDF schedules of:
1. The times/locations of FYI meetings, slated to begin at 9 a.m.
2. General-Interest Sessions. These can range from getting funding to study abroad to expressing your Beloit Rage (it’s a thing)
3. Departmental Sessions. See what your department—or the major of your potential department—has planned, including lunches, meeting with alumni, ice-cream socials and majors’ dinner outings.
