This year's Stone lecture will be given by Elizabeth Ransom, Associate Professor, the University of Richmond, and will take place on November 20, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. in Richardson Auditorium. Speaking on “Feast and Famine: Inequalities in the Global Food System," her talk will focus on the dramatic changes that have occurred in the agriculture and food system in recent decades with particular emphasis on changes within the global beef trade and its impacts on the people and environments of Southern Africa.
