2nd Annual Health & Wellness Pedometer Challenge

All Campus (students, faculty, staff)

 

Pedometer Challenge Rules

  1. Be Honest
  2. Record your steps before bed every night on the step log
  3. RESET your pedometer every morning
  4. Have fun, support and encourage each other!
  5. Strive for at least 10,000 steps a day!
  6. Challenge ends @ 11:59pm on February 18, 2017

Recording Your Steps

  1. Your Team step log will be emailed to your team captain (Captains- if you did receive an email about this, email mantinan@beloit.edu). Your Captain is responsible for sharing this document with the rest of the team.
  2. This log will keep track of your individual daily steps and your team’s total steps per week. For this challenge, a week runs from Sunday to Saturday.
  3. Record your steps every night before bed and RESET RESET RESET your pedometer every morning!
  4. Your Team Captain has to submit your team’s total step count on Sundays by 5pm. So it is important you fill out your section of the step log on time.
  5. Once we receive all the teams’ numbers for the week, we will send out a list of all the teams’ averages and rankings to all the participants. FILL OUT YOUR STEP LOG ON TIME!

Instructions for Team Captains

  • You will be emailed your Team Step Log where you and your teammates will log your daily steps. It will track your team’s total steps per week. For this challenge, a week runs from Sunday to Saturday
  • On Sundays by 5pm you are responsible for submitting your team’s total step count. The document to do so will be emailed to you at the start of the challenge The submission dates are:
    • Sunday February 4
    • Sunday February 11
    • Sunday February 18
  • Please try stick to these deadlines so that we can send out results in a timely manner. Once we receive all the teams’ numbers for the week, we will send out a list of all the teams’ averages to all the participants.  Try to increase your team’s average each week!
  • Keep up morale and encourage your team members to get out and get steppin’
