Beloit, WI -- The Beloit Women's Soccer team, after back-to-back shutout losses to open the season, was hungry for a goal and, more importantly, a win. They got both on Tuesday night under the lights at Strong Stadium with a 2-0 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College for their first win of the 2010 season.
Molly Dickson scored once in each half and Kourtney Kingslien stopped the only shot she faced on goal for the shutout.
Dickson ended over 200 minutes of scoreless soccer when she hit the back of the net at the 22:27 mark, assisted by Erin Chambers.
Dickson got her second goal five minutes intgo the second half, this one assisted by Norah Perry.
That's all the Buccaneers needed, though they did keep up the pressure. Beloit outshot the Warriors 24-4, including 15-1 on goal.
The Bucs look to keep the momentum going as they open Midwest Conference play on Saturday at Lawrence University. Game time is at 4:00 p.m.
