Fithian, Daniels Earn All-MWLC Honors

Naperville, IL -- The Beloit College Women's Lacrosse team got their first pair of postseason honors on Monday when Sara Fithian and Ellie Daniels were named to the 2013 All-Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference squad.  The team was released by the Conference office today.

Fithian, a freshman from Plantation, Florida (South Plantation) earned First Team honors while Daniels, a senior from Portland, Oregon (St. Mary's Academy) was named to the Second Team.

Fithian lead the team in goals scored with 30 and was sixth in the Conference.  She was second on the team with 34 points, eighth in the Conference.  She led the MWLC in draw controls with 65 and was also tops in free position goals with seven.  Fithian also led the Buccaneers with 22 caused turnovers.

Daniels finished the season with six goals and six assists for 12 points.  She led the team in ground balls with 33 and was third in caused turnovers with 15.

Beloit finished their inaugural season with a 4-7 overall record, 2-6 in MWLC play.
