Ripon, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Basketball team dropped a 60-41 decision at Ripon College on Saturday afternoon to close out their 2010-11 season.
The Bucs finished the season 8-15 overall, 6-12 in the Midwest Conference.
Beloit was within three points at 15-12 near the mid-point of the opening half before the Red Hawks put together a 14-3 run over the next seven minutes to pull ahead 29-15 with 4:43 remaining. They led 38-21 at the break.
RC scored six of the first eight points to open the second half and go up by 21 points and held that advantage through much of the half. The Buccaneers used a 15-7 run later in the period to pull back within 13 but that's as close as they would get as Ripon closed the game with a 9-3 run.
Beloit shot just 29.8% for the game, going 14 of 47 from the field.
Senior Diana Sopkowicz closed her career with 13 points while Lauren McNanna added nine and Kandace Fox eight. Senior Amanda Moore had a team-high eight rebounds in her final game as a Buccaneer.
