Beloit, WI -- Things were going well in the first half for the Beloit College Women's Basketball team on Friday night against Lake Forest College.  But the second half was, unfortunately, a different story as the Bucs fell 78-62.

In the opening 20 minutes LFC broke away from a 17-all tie at the 11:39 mark with a 7-0 run to grab a seven-point advantage two minutes later.  But the Buccaneers regrouped and put together a 19-6 run in the last eight-plus minutes of the half to take a 38-32 lead into the lockerroom.

Beloit maintained its cushion in the first three-plus minutes of the second half, building the lead up to eight at the 17:11 mark.  But the Foresters then went on a game-turning 24-0 run over the next 11 minutes to take a 16-point lead with 6:14 left and never looked back.  The Bucs got no closer than 12 in the final minutes.

Amanda Moore led the way with 14 points, the only Buc in double figures.  Lauren McNanna, Kandace Fox and Jenna Larsen each scored eight.  Fox also grabbed a game-high seven rebounds while McNanna handed out five assists.

The game was part of the MWC "Play for the Cure" initiative.  The Buccaneers wore pink t-shirts during warm-ups in support of  cancer awareness.

Beloit has little time to turn things around as they host Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.  It will be Senior Day with the Bucs' three seniors being recognized after the game.
