Carlson Shatters 100 and 200 Records; Men 7th, Women 8th at Benedictine Invite

Lisle, IL -- The Beloit College Outdoor Track and Field team continued their early season competition at the Benedictine University Eagle Invite on Saturday, with the Men finishing seventh in the team standings and the Women eighth.

Felicia Carlson broke her own records, both set last season, in winning the 100m in :12.05 and the 200m in :24.64.  Peter Siess led the Men with a win in the 400m.

Also earning points for the Buccaneer Men were Josh Litofsky, second in the 3000m Steeplechase; Matt Kreiser, third in the 400m Hurdles; Alberto Torres, third in the 3000m Steeplechase; Siess, fifth in the 200m; Adam Beardsley, eighth in the Steeplechase; and Crit Stanley, eighth in the Pole Vault.

For the Women, Ellie Waddle was fourth in the 800m; Sara DeLong fourth in the 3000m Steeplechase; and Emma Koenig sixth in the 5000m.

The Buccaneers head to Iowa on Friday for their next meet, competing at the University of Dubuque Invite.
