Chicago, IL -- The Beloit College Track & Field team fared very well at the University of Chicago Duals, going a combined 19-3 against their competition.
The Women's squad went 10-1, falling only to the host school, while the Men were 9-2, losing to the host team and the Northwestern University team.
Felicia Carlson posted a pair of wins, taking the 55m and 200m, to lead the Women. She was also second in the Long Jump. Tyler Coleman had the Men's lone victory, capturing the Long Jump.
Other top-five finishers for the Women were the third-place Distance Medley Relay team of Camilla Jackson, Karly Clippinger, Anna Wenzel and Jessica Vogel; Rachel Monroe, third in the Triple Jump and fifth in the 55m; Clippinger, fourth in the 55m Hurdles; Kate Finman, fourth in the Pole Vault; Nadia Hecker-O'Brien, fifth in the 400m; Wenzel, fifth in the 5000m; and the fifth-place 4x400m Relay of Felicia Carlson, Max Carlson, Madeline Carpenter and CJ Cochron.
Top-five finishers for the Men were Myles Schneider, second in both the Shot Put and Weight Throw; George Gray, second in the High Jump; Matt Kreiser, third in the 55m Hurdles; Matt Floyd, third in the Pole Vault; Lukeson Versulien, fourth in the 200m; Joseph Skurski, fourth in the 5000m; the fourth-place 4x400m Relay of Apolus Anderson, Coleman, Jon Fuller and Floyd; and Mat Kahl, fifth in the Long Jump.
The Buccaneers are back in action next Saturday when they compete at the UW-Parkside Classic. Action in Kenosha begins at 11:00 a.m.
