Both Teams 3rd at Carroll in Final Tune-Up for MWC's

Waukesha, WI -- The Beloit College Track & Field team had their final tune-up for the Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships next weekend as both teams finished third at the Carroll Invite on Saturday.

Amani Edwards and Travis Towns posted the only wins for the Bucs, with Edwards taking the Shot Put to lead the Women and Towns winning the Javelin to pace the Men.

Earning second-place finishes for Beloit were Karly Clippinger in the 100m Hurdles; Margaret Cress in the 1500m; Max Carlson in the 400m; Nathan Brault in the 400m; Brooke Kahl in the 100m; Camilla Jackson in the 400m Hurdles; Erika Moen in the Discus; and Darth Winkler in the Discus.

The Women's 4x400m Relay of Nadia Hecker-O'Brien, Alex Hinck, Jackson and Kahl, as did the Men's 4x400 Relay of Peter Siess, Aaron Joiner, Matej Jungwirth and Aaron Joiner.

The Buccaneers begin competition at the MWC's next Friday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Norbert College in De Pere.  The meet concludes on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
