Bucs Have Final MWC Warm-Up at Wisconsin Twilight

Madison, WI -- The Beloit College Track & Field team had their final tune-up for next weekend's Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday, competing at the Wisconsin Twilight Meet in Madison.

Kenny Williams posted the squad's best finish with a second in the 400m Hurdles.  erika Moen had the top Women's finish, tying for third in the Discus.

Travis Towns was fifth in the Javelin, Amani Edwards fifth in the Hammer, Kiera Hayes fifth in the 400m Hurdles, and Jason Busack fifth in the 3000m Steeplechase.

Other top-eight finishes came from Moen, eighth in the Hammer; Edwards, eighth in the Discus; and Josh Litofsky seventh and Turner Smith eighth in the 3000m Steeplechase.

Both 4x400m Relay teams finished fourth.  The Women's squad was Hayes, Rasheda Hughes, Catherine Jensen and Camilla Jackson while the Men's foursome was John Wildauer, Williams, Aaron Joiner and Abdi Ali.

Both 4x100m Relay teams finished sixth.  The Men's squad was Wildauer, Williams, Mikile Baker and Mat Kahl.  The Women's team was made up of Hayes, Hughes, Alex Hinck, and Jensen.

Both squads will compete at the MWC Outdoor Championships next Friday and Saturday at Monmouth College.  Action begins Friday afternoon and continues at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
