Whitewater, WI -- The Beloit Track & Field teams competed at the UW-Whitewater Invite on Saturday, with the Women finishing fifth and the Men seventh.
Tanishka Armbrister led the Women with a fourth-place finish in the 800m. She also finished sixth in the Triple Jump.
Also scoring points for the Buccaneers were Anna Blankschien, seventh in the 55m; Katie Schurr, sixth in the High Jump and eighth in the 200m; Anne Bayerle, seventh in the Mile; Julie Stutzbach, sixth in the 3000m; Kate Finman, sixth in the Pole Vault; Ellie Daniels, fifth in the Triple Jump and sixth in the Long Jump; and Amani Edwards, seventh in both the Shot Put and Weight Throw.
The 4x400m Relay team of Armbrister, Blankschien, Schurr and Daniels was third. The 4x200m Relay team of Linnea Joffe-Nelson, Daniels, Catherine Jensen and Taylor Jones was fifth, as was the Distance Medley Relay of Stutzbach, Joffe-Nelson, Katie Singleton and Lauren Hall.
For the Men, Sherrick O'Quinn had the top indivual finish with a fourth in the Triple Jump. Also scoring was Josh Davendonis, sixth in the 3000m.
The 4x200m Relay of Ken Andejeski, Matt Floyd, Raymond Thomas and Ethan Peters finished third, as did the Distance Medley Relay team of Davendonis, Matt Kees, Matt Johannsen and Nestor Zavala. The 4x400m Relay team of Aaron Joiner, Kees, CJ Yoakum and O'Quinn was fifth.
The Bucs are back in action next Saturday when they compete in the University of Chicago Duals. Action begins at 11:30 a.m.
