Buccaneer Swimming & Diving Continues Early-Season Work

Buccaneer Swimming & DivingOshkosh, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team continued their early-season competition on Saturday with a dual meet at UW-Oshkosh.  The Women fell 111-58 while the Men were downed 93-74.

Earning firsts for the Women were Shaunte Moss in the 50 Free; Nora Holte in the 100 Free; and the 400 Medley Relay team of Emma Canny, Moss, Dana Olesch and Holte.  Seconds were turned in by Olesch in the 100 Fly; Canny in the 100 Back and Moss in the 100 Breast.

For the Men firsts were earned by John Kamada in the 200 IM; Austin Smith in the 100 Fly; Will McAneny in the 100 Free; and the 400 Medley Relays of Kamada, Nick Snopek, McAneny and Arthur Staub.  Getting seconds were Staub in the 200 Free; McAneny in the 50 Free; Charlie Hawks in the 500 Free; and Kamada in the 100 Back and 100 Breast.

The Buccaneers open their home season next Saturday in Kresge Natatorium when they host Carroll University.  Action begins at 1:00 p.m.
