How did you find out about Beloit? Did you know a lot about Beloit when you first visited campus?
“I first heard about Beloit when the football coaching staff began recruiting me during my senior year of high school. I may have thought I knew a lot about the school, but I don’t think it’s really possible to understand what Beloit is like until you visit.”

We are focusing a lot on Liberal Arts in Practice at Beloit; so as part of what you practice(d) name one aspect that you took away(will take) from being a Beloit student-athlete that you use in your everyday life.
“The clinching factor in deciding to attend Beloit was the opportunity to be the play-by-play broadcaster for the basketball team right away. I also had an active role with the radio station, and took advantage of CELEB by starting my own business.”

What (if any) accolades did you receive (Academically/Athletically) while being a student-athlete?

“Football team captain, 4-year starter/letter winner, John Hughes Student Entrepreneur of the Year, Joe Kobylka Sportsmanship and Team Spirit Award.”

If you could name one class or professor (mentor) that really meant something to you while at Beloit, who or what would that be?

“It’s hard to name just one, but I recommend to any Beloit student to be sure to take a class with Jerry Gustafson. Jerry is a professor in the Econ department, but a class with him teaches you way more about life in general than any school subject.”

Name one of the most rewarding experiences you took part in while at Beloit College?

“Being a part of the Sigma Chi Fraternity gave me not only friendships and memories that will last my whole life, but helped me mature leaps and bounds as a person.”

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? - Name a career goal/aspiration you strive for.

“I’m really happy with the track that my career is currently on, having a steady job as a minor league baseball announcer and supplementing with more and more TV play-by-play work throughout the country. Five years from now, I’d like to be completely transitioned into full-time TV play-by-play, which would allow me to move back to the Midwest.”

“In ONE word I would sum up Beloit College as –Transformative.”
