Beloit, WI -- The wait is finally over for the Beloit College Women’s Lacrosse team. On Friday the Buccaneers play the first game in their history when they host Alma College at Strong Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
The building process by head coach Meredith Newman has run well over a year and now the squad is ready to face-off with someone other than their own team. Alma, in its second season of Women’s Lacrosse, comes into the game with a 2-0 record after defeating Franciscan University 23-4 in their opener on Monday and Wilmington 23-5 on Wednesday.
After the opener, the first game in a season-opening three-game homestand, the Bucs have some time off before hosting Loras College on Wednesday, March 13. They then play their first Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference game when they host Fontbonne University on Sunday, March 17.
