Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team couldn't overcome a three-goal explosion by St. Norbert College in the opening half and fell 4-2 at the Strong Complex Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon.

Anna Blankschien got Beloit on top just over a minute into the contest with an unassisted goal. But SNC tied it at 23:03 on a penalty kick and then grabbed the lead for good less than a minute later.

The Green Knights added a third first half score at 36:01 to lead 3-1 at the break.

Molly Dickson pulled the Bucs back to within a goal at the 51:17 mark off an assist from Clare Loxterkamp. But St. Norbert closed out the scoring three minutes later.

Katie Schurr had nine saves in net for the Buccaneers.

The Bucs are now off until next Friday when they host Edgewood College in a non-conference game at the Strong Complex. Kickoff is at 4:00 p.m.
