Beloit, WI -- The Beloit Men's Soccer team ended a season on frustration on a high note, defeating Cornell College 2-0 at the Strong Complex Soccer Field on Saturday in the season finale.
The send-off was especially sweet for the the six Buccaneer seniors playing their final match for Beloit - Markus Rickman, Danny Hodorowski, Duncan Gillis, Daniel Sutherland, Josh Litofsky and Sean Little.
Julian Baker staked the Bucs to the lead at 19:56 of the opening half, assisted by Sutherland. Sutherland then handled the scoring himself at 60:28 of the second half for the final score.
BJ Kiser made three saves in goal for Beloit while recording his 12th career shutout, his second this season, putting him within five of the all-time Beloit record.
