Three-Goal First Half Knocks Buccaneers

Buccaneer Men's SoccerMonmouth, IL -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team had a rough opening half at Monmouth College on Saturday, leading to a 4-0 loss.

MC got things rolling three minutes in with a goal and then added two more tallies at 14:34 and 29:35 to lead 3-0 at the break.  The Fighting Scots closed out the scoring at 51:35 of the second half.

Monmouth won the shots battle 14-9, though 11 of their 14 shots were on goal.  The Bucs had four shots on goal.

BJ Kiser made seven saves in net.

Beloit has a week off before returning to the Strong Complex Soccer Field next weekend for a pair of Midwest Conference matches.  They host Illinois College on Saturday and Knox on Sunday.  Both games begin at 1:30 p.m.
