Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team got themselves back in the win column and opened up Midwest Conference play in good fashion with a 3-1 win over Ripon College at the Strong Complex Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon.
RC got the scoring going just under eight minutes into the contest. But Jackson Wilkins tied it up off an assist from Marc Robinson at 21:31 and then Robinson hit the back of the net himself with what-proved-to-be the game-winner with less than two minutes remaining in the first half to put Beloit up 2-1 at the break.
Wilkins added some insurance at 59:00 on an assist from Kellen Sullivan and the Buccaneers held off Ripon's late charge.
BJ Kiser made three saves in net for the win.
The Bucs stay in MWC play on Thursday night when they play at Carroll University in Waukesha. Game time is at 7:30 p.m.
