Buccaneer Men's Basketball Senior Patrick Kenny

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team wanted to send lone senior Patrick Kenny out on a good note in the home finale on Wednesday night in Flood Arena.  But poor shooting throughout led to a 71-57 loss to Carroll University.

Carroll out-scored the Buccaneers 18-6 in the first seven-plus minutes of the game but Beloit came roaring back and, over the next 11 minutes, went on a 21-11 run to pull back within two in the final 2:00 of the opening half.  CU led 31-27 at the break.

A 21-4 Pioneer run coming out of the lockerroom put CU up 52-31 with 12:33 remaining and the Bucs couldn't get back in it.  They did cut the deficit to 11 at 63-52 with a four-minute 14-4 run but could get no closer.

David Bremner had 11 points for Beloit while Grant Henricksen had ten with a team-high eight rebounds.  Kenny finished with nine points.

The Buccaneers finish up the season on Saturday afternoon at Ripon College.  Game time is at 4:00 p.m.
