Beloit, WI -- The Bucs had their most complete match today, and were within 1 point of forcing Ripon into extra sets, falling just short, 5-4, to the visiting Ripon Red Hawks.
In doubles it seemed as if it was going to fall all blue and gold, as Beloit won 2 of 3 matches. Jamie Kelly and Rose Williams beat Katelyn Peroutka and Carly Wesner 8-6, and the pairing of Emma Hahn and Priya Heinen defeated Ripon's Rachel Hicks and MacKenzie Warner 8-4.
Ripon's win in doubles came in the form of Courtney Olson and Morgan Makar beating Beloit's Hayden Lamphere and Meghan Davis 8-2.
In singles, it was a battle. Ripon gained the slight edge over the Bucs for the win, with 4 sets to 2.
The two wins for the Bucs were Meghan Davis and Priya Heinen, who both won in two, (6-4)(6-2).
Emma Hahn came extremely close to defeating her matchup against Ripon's Carly Wesner, unfortunately falling, (6-2)(6-4).
Beloit doesn't have much time off, as they play host to Lawrence University in a couple hours, as match is set to begin at 4 PM.
