Buccaneers Drop Pair of Tight Matches in Milwaukee Sunday

Glendale, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Tennis team battled the heat as well as two opponents on Sunday, falling 6-3 to Alverno College and 5-4 to Wisconsin Lutheran College at Nicolet High School.

The #1 Doubles team of Trina Capelli and Alex Kurpiel ran their win streak to three straight with a 9-7 win over Alverno and an 8-4 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran.  Capelli has also won three straight at #1 Singles after a pair of wins Sunday.

Also posting a win against Alverno was #6 Singles player Nyasha Nyamhondoro with a three-set victory, dominating the third set 10-2.

The #2 Doubles team of Sarah Rapp and Kiri Youngquist gave Beloit two of the three Doubles points with an 8-1 win against Wisconsin Lutheran.  Rapp also won at #3 Singles in the match.

The Buccaneers head into Midwest Conference play in the coming week, starting Wednesday at Lake Forest College.
