Lake Forest, Ill. -- The Bucs traveled to Lake Forest for another big Midwest Conference match-up against the Foresters this afternoon. Lake Forest proved to be too much for the Bucs, as they came away with a big win over Beloit, 3-1.
For the Bucs, junior Genesis Dade knocked in her 12th goal of the season in the 37th minute. Dade finished with 3 shots, 2 on goal to lead the Bucs shooters.
Nikki Hebel and Hannah Metcalfe were the only other Bucs to get their shots on frame, as the Forester defense was up to the task of limiting the Buc shooters all 90 minutes. Going the other way, Lake Forest kept the pressure up on the Buccaneer backline, finishing with 18 total shots, 12 on frame.
Freshman goalkeeper Connor Keegan-Lloyd made sure the Foresters had to earn their goals, as she registered 9 saves over the course of the match.
Beloit falls to 1-6 in conference in the loss, and 4-11 overall. The 2017 Bucs finish up the season hosting back-to-back games this weekend, with St. Norbert on Saturday, and North Park University in non-conference on Sunday.
