Beloit, WI -- Junior Forward Genesis Dade broke off a big isolation run down the middle of the field and beat the Central Dutch GK at the 23rd minute in the first half to go up 1-0 for the only score of the half.
Unfortunately, the Dutch came out firing in the 2nd Half and buried 3 goals quickly, with their 1st and 2nd coming within a minute of each other, both off the foot of Dutch Forward Lauren Vahlkamp. Elise Askelsen would top of the Dutch run late in the game, putting an extremely close one in past the Bucs at the 62nd minute to wrap up scoring.
Final score from Strong Stadium - Central College Dutch 3, Beloit 1.
Freshman Kaitlyn Erickson got the start in net for Beloit this afternoon, and took her new role to a high level, finishing with 13 saves in 90 minutes, allowing the 3 Central College goals.
For the Dutch, Taylor Golt went the distance in net, making 1 save, and allowing 1 goal.
The Buccaneer defensive unit was busy for most of the afternoon, as Central would out-shoot Beloit 13-3 in the first half and 15-6 in the second.
Dade, who seems to always be around the ball on the Buccaneer offensive side, finished with 5 shots for the game, 2 on net, with 1 goal.
Beloit falls to 3-9 on the season, and will look to get back on the winning side this weekend, as they welcome MWC foe Monmouth College to Strong Stadium on Saturday, October 14th. Match is scheduled to kick-off at 1 PM.
