Bucs Fall Victim to Second-Half Four-Goal Burst

October 12, 2016

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team fell victim to a seven-minute four-goal explosion by Lake Forest College on Wednesday at the Strong Complex Soccer Field on the way to a 5-0 Midwest Conference loss.

On a cold and damp day, the Foresters broke a scoreless dual with just under a minute left in the opening half.  LFC expanded that lead in quick order beginning at the 74:12 mark.  They then scored at 76:04, converted a penalty kick at 78:13, and closed out the scoring at 81:12.

Olivia Nasatir and the Buccaneer defense did their best to weather a 25-shot barrage by Lake Forest, making 17 saves in the game, 12 of them in the second half.  Beloit finished with seven shots, four of them on goal.  LFC also had eight corner kicks to the Bucs' one.

Beloit looks to get back on the winning side this weekend as they hit the road for a pair of MWC matches.  They play at Monmouth College on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. before taking on Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
