Mt. Vernon, IA -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team made the last four minutes of their game at Cornell College their own, scoring twice to overcome a one-goal deficit for a 3-2 Midwest Conference win Saturday.
Lili Hagg, off an assist from Courtney Ceurvorst, put the Bucs on top 38 minutes into the match, a lead Beloit held into halftime. Cornell tied it up at 58:31 and then took the lead at 70:47. And then Buccaneer lightning struck.
Heading into the final four minutes of regulation, Raine Lowen-Thomas tied it up at two apiece, assisted by Ceurvorst. Genesis Dade then took a pass from Hagg with just under two minutes remaining and found the back of the net for the win.
Olivia Nasatir made five saves in goal for the Bucs. The teams both finished with 19 shots while Beloit held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Buccaneers look to maintain their momentum going into Wednesday's game at Ripon College. Action begins at 4:15 p.m.
