Chicago, IL -- The Beloit College Women's team enjoyed the feeling of winning their first game of the season last Tuesday so they extended that feeling with a 6-0 victory over Illinois Institute of Technology on Saturday.
Genesis Dade got the scoring going, assisted by Jordyn Murch, at 33:17 of the first half. Hanna Metcalfe made it a 2-0 game at the break, assisted by Dade, with a goal just 14 seconds before halftime.
An Own goal in the Buccaneers' favor made it 3-0 10 minutes into the second half before Rylie Partin made it 4-0 a minute later, assisted by Courtney Ceurvorst. Mikino Kumagai scored her first collegiate goal off Metcalfe's assist at 74:24 before Nicole Hebel closed out the scoring, unassisted, with 40 seconds left in the game.
Olivia Nasatir made five saves in net for her second straight win. The teams finished with 13 shots apiece while Beloit had a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Bucs have the week to get ready for their Midwest Conference opener next Saturday at the Strong Complex Field. Action gets underway at 3:30 p.m.
