October 10, 2015

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team shut down visiting Lawrence University 3-0 at the Strong Complex Soccer Field Saturday to push their record up to the .500 level both overall and in the Midwest Conference.

Genesis Dade, assisted by Tegan Rock, scored the only goal the Bucs would need, her 12th of the season, at the 36:17 mark of the opening half to get Beloit on the way to its second straight MWC victory.  Jordyn Murch made it 2-0 early in the second half, assisted by Sarah Farr, before Alexis Miller iced it at 73:50 off a free kick.

Haylee Irwin scored her first career shutout with five saves in net.  The Buccaneers had 17 shots to LU's 10, though the Vikings led 7-4 on corner kicks.

Beloit has a big week of MWC play ahead of them, playing at league-leader Lake Forest College on Wednesday before hosting Illinois College and Knox College over the weekend.
