Madison, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team opened their 2015 season with a 4-1 setback at Edgewood College on Tuesday night.
The Eagles scored at 3:24 and 14:00 to grab a 2-0 halftime advantage. They added goals at 54:51 and 70:53 to make it 4-0 before Genesis Dade scored the first goal of the season for the Bucs, and the first of her career, with five minutes left for the final score.
Emma Schroer made three saves in the opening 45 minutes while Haylee Irwin had one save in the final 45:00. EC had the shots advantage 13-8 and had five corners to Beloit's three.
The Bucs open their home season on Saturday when they host Rockford University in an 11:00 a.m. match at the Strong Complex Soccer Field.
