St. Paul, MN -- Saturday was definitely not a pleasure trip up to the Twin Cities for the Beloit College Women's Lacrosse team, who fell to Hamline University 12-1 to officially be eliminated from a chance at the postseason.
The Pipers shut down the Bucs 9-0 in the opening half and then scored three of the four second half goals. Fiona Milchman got Beloit on the board with just over four minutes remaining, unassisted.
Hamline outshot the Buccaneers 36-17 and won 12 of the 15 draws.
Marie Bonine finished with 19 saves, the second-most in program history, 17 of those stops coming in the first half. Nicole Dolcimascolo had two caused turnovers.
Beloit closes out the 2017 season next Saturday at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Action begins at 1:00 p.m.
