Chicago, IL -- The Beloit College Women's Lacrosse team dropped a 14-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference game at Illinois Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon.
IIT scored the first eight goals of the game and never looked back. Sam Schonberger broke the run with 30 seconds left in the opening half, assisted by Tate Mitchell. But the Scarlett Hawks picked it up right away in the second half, scoring six times, for the final score.
Schonberger and Marie Bonine each had three ground balls to lead the Bucs while Vanessa Pena had two caused turnovers. Bonine made 10 saves in goal.
Beloit is now off until next Saturday, when they travel to Otterbein University in Ohio for a 1:00 p.m. Eastern time non-conference game.
