Waukesha, WI -- Libby Storrick, a senior midfielder from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, for the Beloit College Women's Lacrosse team, has been named the first Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the 2016 season. The Conference Office announced the honor today for the week ending February 21.
In a pair of games on Sunday in Minneapolis that opened the season for the Buccaneers, Storrick scored 10 goals and added an assist in a pair of setbacks. She also had six ground balls, seven draw controls and seven caused turnovers in the two games.
She scored four goals with one assist, three ground balls, three draw controls and four caused turnovers in a 19-10 loss to Augsburg in the opener and added six goals with three ground balls, four draw controls and three caused turnovers in a 13-7 loss to Hamline in the team's second game.
The honor is Storrick's third MWLC Offensive recognition to go with one Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Beloit return to action on Saturday, March 5, in the home opener against Concordia University Chicago at 1:00 p.m. at Strong Stadium.
