Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Lacrosse team saw their three-game winning streak snapped in a 15-7 loss to Concordia University at Strong Stadium on Thursday night.
The visiting Falcons got off their bus flying and scored the first 10 goals of the game in the opening 12:04 to start the running clock. The Bucs got on the board at the 17:04 mark on Libby Storrick's man-up goal before CUW rattled off four more scores. Beloit had the last tally of the opening half when Sara Fithian scored (free position) to make it 14-2 at the break.
Beloit made the final outcome closer in the second half, out-scoring the Falcons 5-1 over the final 30 minutes. Michelle Dillon (Hannah Drexler) got the half started at the 21:00 mark on the man-up before CUW scored their final goal. The Buccaneers then scored four unanswered goals to close the game. Fithian got her second free position score at 14:21 followed by Arisbeth Sanchez at 5:08 and Storrick with her second and third goals of the game at 2:44 and 1:16.
Kelley Flint had six ground balls to lead the Bucs while Kelley Flint had two caused turnovers and Storrick two draw controls. Celeste Jenkins made four saves in net.
Beloit is now off until Tuesday when they host North Central College in a 5:00 p.m. faceoff at the Stadium.
