Winona, MN --
Defensively, the Bucs were slow to recover from the constant motion and screening by Winona. Having only 7 players for 3 quarters, and 6 for the fourth, definitely took a toll on those playing.
Rebounding, they were led by Lauren Glaser with 6. Offensively, shots were looking very good in the first quarter, but as fatigue and a tough press showed up, the turnovers began to pile up. Candace Cunningham led the team with 8 points and Shelby Kline, Melissa McLean, and Tegan Rock each contributed 5. The team had a tough time breaking the press of the much taller Warriors. Hustle was consistent for the most part, and despite the limited numbers the Bucs held their own for most of the first half.
Final from Winona, Warriors 96, Bucs 31.
They look forward to their home opener this Wednesday, November 15, against Aurora University.
