Ripon, Wis. – The Bucs’ offense struggled early on Wednesday night at Weiske Gymnasium, which they couldn’t overcome in a 38-57 loss to the Red Hawks of Ripon College.
After shooting just 8.3% (2-24) in the first half, the Bucs’ offense came alive in the 3rd. Scoring the first 5 points of the quarter, they went on to outscore the Red Hawks 17-16 in the frame to keep the game within reach.
Junior Shelby Kline (’19 Rockton, Ill.) continued her offensive tear through the first several games of the season, contributing 15 points and 5 rebounds in the contest. Kline has scored in double digits in all but 2 of the Bucs’ 8 games.
The Women’s Basketball team (2-6, 1-3) will look to turn things around on Saturday at Flood Arena, as they take on the Wartburg College Knights (6-0, 2-0).
