Seasoned Warhawks Too Much For Young Bucs

Whitewater, WI --  Despite low numbers and fatigue, the Bucs were able to play hard and at times match the intensity of the more disciplined Whitewater Warhawks.

Though they put up a fight, they were out-rebounded 46-29, and more than doubled UWW in turnovers (38 vs 16). Offensively, there was not much rhythm, and the Bucs shot 13-40 from the field. On the defensive end, they struggled to stop the much larger posts and keep them off the boards. The final score was 33-77.

To lead the Bucs, Senior forward Melissa McLean went 5-15 from the paint to chip in 10 points. The elder McLean was also able to add 4 boards to her efforts on the afternoon.

Right behind her was Junior guard Shelby Kline, who was just shy of McLean with 9 points. Kline finished 2-8 from the paint, 1-4 from distance for 3, and a perfect 4-4 from the charity line.

The Bucs start conference play this Tuesday, November 18, at home versus Lake Forest.
