Beloit, WI -- Head Women's Basketball Coach Gloria Bradley, entering her 2nd season in charge of the Bucs, has announced her coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Joining the Buccaneers Women's Basketball Program are three faces that are extremely familiar in Flood Arena, as Cecil Youngblood, Nora Polaski, '16, and Kelsey Horvath, '16, return to the sidelines this season.
"I am extremely excited Cecil Youngblood has decided to join our women's basketball staff," states Bradley. "He brings a wealth of experience as a head men's and women's coach on various levels".
Youngblood has been an extremely familiar face not only in Flood Arena, but also at Strong Stadium, where he has served in various capacities on the Football Staff as well. Cecil was the Head Men's Basketball Coach for the Bucs from 1997-2007.
"It is always a valuable experience to have alums return to the program," says Coach Bradley of her two returners joining her on the bench.
Nora Polaski, '16, was an All-MWC 2nd Team Member, and finished her career with 797 points, and 480 total rebounds. "Nora is a dedicated, organized, hard worker. I have no doubt that Nora will be a great example for the players in the program".
"I am looking forward to having Kelsey work with our guards and help instill in them the work ethic she had," says Coach Bradley of her new assistant Kelsey Horvath. "Her pride in Beloit women's basketball and her knowledge of the school and program will be an asset".
Horvath graduated alongside Polaski in 2016, finishing her career with 350 total points, and just shy of 200 assists. Both Polaski and Horvath were multiple time All-MWC Academic Honorees.
The Buc's Women's Basketball Program kicks off the 2017-2018 season at home, hosting the Aurora University Spartans on November 15th at 7 PM. Live-Stream Broadcast will be available across Stretch Internet.
